Greetings 4-H Families!

Are you ready for the fair?!? The staff of the Waseca County Extension Office has been working hard to get everything in order. Now that we have plaque donors and judges, the next big step is to get 4-H members registered for fair projects!

You received a “Fair Registration Packet” the middle of May that had your fair registration form, food stand donation money and pen/stall fee form, Exhibit Handbook, and the complete 4-H Premium listing and county fair rules and regulations. Please read this carefully! If you have any questions, please call either of us at the Extension Office (507-835-0600) and we will do our best to help you through. Please remember to turn your fair registration forms into us by Monday, June 15th at 4:30 pm.

Below are some upcoming fair-related dates:

• June 15 – Fair Registrations Due by 4:30 pm to the Extension Office (Drop off, mail in, or fax)
• June 22 – Federation Meeting, 6 pm, 4-H Building
• June 23 – Fashion Review Committee Meeting, 7 pm, Extension Office
• June 27 – Summer Livestock Workshop, 9:30 am to 12 pm, Fairgrounds
• June 27 – Livestock Superintendent’s Meeting – 1 pm, 4-H Food Stand
• July 3 – Extension Office Closed
• July 7 – Ambassador Work Day, 9 am to 4 pm
• July 7 - 4-H Building Clean-Up & Set-Up Night, 6-8 pm
• July 7 – Entry Day Meeting, 8 pm, 4-H Building
• July 8 – Mandatory Livestock Exhibitor’s Meeting, 4-H Building, 6 pm, Livestock Barn Set-Up to follow
• July 8 - 4-H Building Clean-Up/Set-Up Night, 7-9 pm
• July 9 – Food Review Judging, Fashion Review Judging, 4-H Building & 4-H Food Stand, 1 pm
• July 10 – Ambassador Work Day, 9 am to 4 pm
• July 11 – Dog Obedience & Showmanship Show, 9 am
• July 13 – Horse Show, 9 am
• July 14 – 4-H General Project Judging, 10 am to 4 pm
• July 15 – 19 - Waseca County Fair
• July 27 – State Fair Meeting, East Annex, 7 pm
• August 26 - September 7 – Minnesota State Fair
